What teams in Ohio are worth betting on?

There are two NFL teams in Ohio: the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Bengals. Ohioans can bet on either of these teams at any of the state’s legal sportsbooks.

The Browns are a professional team based in Cleveland. They compete in the NFL as a member club of the AFC North division. The team began playing in 1946 as a charter member of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC), and joined the NFL in 1950 after the AAFC merged with the NFL. Since their original winning season in 1972, the Browns have been in the playoffs 15 times, winning the AFC Central division championship in each appearance.

The other team in the state are the Bengals who are based in Cincinnati. They compete in the NFL as a member club of the AFC North division. The Bengals began playing in 1968 as a member of the American Football League (AFL). The AFL merged with the NFL in 1970, and the Bengals joined the AFC Central division. The Bengals have won two AFC championships, in 1981 and 1988, and have appeared in two Super Bowls.

Ohio has one NBA team within the state, Cleveland Cavaliers who play their home games at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in downtown Cleveland. The team was founded in 1970 and has won one NBA championship, in 2016. The Cavaliers are currently coached by J.B. Bickerstaff and their star player is Darius Garland.

Ohioans can bet on either of the two Ohio MLB teams, the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Guardians.

The Cincinnati Reds are the oldest professional baseball team in America, having been founded in 1869. They play their home games at Great American Ball Park in downtown Cincinnati. The Reds have won five World Series championships, the most recent coming in 1990.

The Cleveland Guardians were founded in 1901 and have won two World Series championships, the most recent coming in 1948. They play their home games at Progressive Field in downtown Cleveland.

If you’re looking for a hockey fix when it comes to your betting then Ohio has the Columbus Blue Jackets, the only NHL team in the state.

The Columbus Blue Jackets play their home games at Nationwide Arena in downtown Columbus. The team was founded in 2000 and has never won a Stanley Cup.

What type of bets can I place at BetRivers in Ohio?

BetRivers offers a wide variety of bets, including:

  • Point spreads: A point spread is a bet on the margin of victory in a game. For example, if the point spread for a football game is -3, that means that the favorite is expected to win by 3 points.
  • Over/unders: An over/under is a bet on the total number of points scored in a game. For example, if the over/under for a basketball game is 210 points, that means that the total number of points scored in the game must be over 210 points for the over bet to win, or under 210 points for the under bet to win.
  • Moneylines: A moneyline bet is a bet on which team will win a game, regardless of the margin of victory. For example, if the moneyline for a baseball game is +150 for the underdog and -170 for the favorite, that means that if you bet $100 on the underdog and they win, you will win $150. If you bet $100 on the favorite and they win, you will win $170.
  • Props: Props are bets on individual player or team statistics, such as how many points a player will score or how many rebounds a player will grab.
  • Live betting: Live betting is a type of betting that allows you to place bets on games that are already in progress.
  • Parlays: Parlays are bets that combine multiple bets into one bet. If all of the bets in the parlay win, you will win a larger payout than if you had bet on each bet individually. However, if any of the bets in the parlay lose, you will lose your entire bet.
  • Teasers: Teasers are bets that allow you to move the point spread or over/under in your favor. For example, if you teaser a football game by 6 points, that means that the favorite will be moved down 6 points and the underdog will be moved up 6 points.
  • Pleasers: Pleasers are the opposite of teasers. For example, if you pleaser a football game by 6 points, that means that the favorite will be moved up 6 points and the underdog will be moved down 6 points.
  • In-game props: In-game props are bets that can be placed on events that happen during a game. For example, you could bet on who will score the first touchdown in a football game or who will hit the most home runs in a baseball game.
  • Futures: Futures are bets on events that will happen in the future. For example, you could bet on which team will win the Super Bowl or which player will win the MVP award.
